Panzer Dragoon Promo Disc (NTSC-J)
A Japanese demo disc for Panzer Dragoon, featuring a work-in-progress version of Episode 2 that has several noticeable differences from the finished version. For various reasons, it seems likely that this would have been a press-release demo: something that would have been given out to gaming magazines so that they could preview the game, rather than something that would have been available to the gaming public.

Panzer Dragoon Playable Preview (NTSC)
An NTSC demo disc for Panzer Dragoon, which lets you play through Episode 2 of the game. There don't appear to be any differences between this demo version of the level and the version that appears in the released game.

Panzer Dragoon Demo Disc (PAL)
A PAL demo disc for Panzer Dragoon; its content appears to be the same as the NTSC demo detailed above.

Panzer Dragoon PC Promo Disc (US)
This appears to be a review copy of the finished version of Panzer Dragoon for the PC, dating from December 1995. One notable thing is that the disc has both English and Japanese documentation on it, so it looks like Sega probably sorted out this promo disc's contents so that it could be used worldwide; to the best of our knowledge this specific version of the disc was burned and distributed in the States, though.

Azel: Panzer Dragoon RPG Demo Disc (NTSC-J)
A Japanese demo disc for Panzer Dragoon Saga, which lets you play through a version of the "Excavation Site #4" area that has several minor differences from the finished game. It does feel partly like a work-in-progress, but partly like something that was edited for the purposes of being a demo. This disc was packaged with the Azel: Panzer Dragoon RPG "Mini Album", which is detailed on the Soundtracks page.

Panzer Dragoon Saga Promo Discs (PAL)
A PAL promo copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga, which would apparently have been distributed to European gaming magazines so that they could review the game; the game on these discs does appear to be the final, released version. As with most Saturn review copies, each disc has nothing printed on its face, though the game's product codes can be seen on the inner rim of each one and Sega's watermark can of course be seen on the outer rim. Each set of these discs was sent out in a simple white paper sleeve.

Panzer Dragoon Saga Demo Disc (PAL)
A PAL demo disc for Panzer Dragoon Saga, which is literally the first disc of the finished game; it seems that Sega of Europe simply produced extra copies of that disc and printed the words "DEMO DISC - NOT FOR RESALE" and a different product code on the front of them. In the UK this disc could be picked up with the May 1998 issue of the official Sega Saturn magazine, where it came stuck to the cover in a transparent plastic sleeve.

|
Panzer Dragoon Orta Promo Disc (PAL)
A PAL promo copy of Panzer Dragoon Orta, which, like the Panzer Dragoon Saga discs shown above, would apparently have been a magazine review copy. It does seem to represent the finished, released version of the game, and this disc was sent out with some general instructions printed on two sheets of A4 paper.

Panzer Dragoon Demos on Compilation Discs
Sega Flash Vol. 1 (PAL)
Each of the Sega Flash discs featured various playable demos and video demos of upcoming Saturn games; this one includes a Panzer Dragoon II Zwei demo that lets you play through Episode 3 of the game, and there don't appear to be any differences between this demo and what appears in the game itself.

Place of Origin: Europe
Product Code: MK610-6288A
|
Sega Flash Vol. 2 (PAL)
The second Sega Flash disc includes the same Panzer Dragoon II Zwei demo that appeared on the first one.

Place of Origin: Europe
Product Code: 610-6288B
|
Sega Flash Vol. 6 (PAL)
The sixth Sega Flash disc features a "video demo" of Panzer Dragoon Saga, which is actually the teaser FMV that appears in the finished game (the one that plays right at the start of Disc 1, before you reach the title screen). In the UK, this demo disc came with the January 1998 issue of the official Sega Saturn magazine (issue 27).

Sega Flash Vol. 7 (PAL)
The seventh Sega Flash disc includes the same Panzer Dragoon Saga video demo that appeared on the sixth one. In the UK, this demo disc came with the June 1998 issue of the official Sega Saturn magazine (issue 32).

Official Xbox Magazine Game Disc 14 (PAL)
The Panzer Dragoon Orta demo on this disc lets you play through Episode 1 of the game; there appear to be some minor differences between this demo and what appears in the finished game, particularly the use and absence of some sound effects, but nothing very surprising. In the UK, this demo disc came with the March 2003 issue of the official Xbox magazine (issue 14).

|
Official Xbox Magazine Game Disc 15 (PAL)
The disc that came with the next issue of the official Xbox magazine (issue 15, April 2003) also had a Panzer Dragoon Orta demo on it. Unlike the previous demo, which features Episode 1 and is in a not-quite-finalised state, this demo lets you play through Episode 2 and doesn't seem to show any differences from the finished game.
