100. Download the entire script from Panzer Dragoon Saga.
Date: 20th of June, 2004
Updated By: Solo Wing Dragon
It doesn't seem like this site has been updated so many times, but here we have it: the 100th update of the Will of the Ancients, which has been online for almost two years (although Azel Online, the previous incarnation of this site has been online since 2000). For this update, Lance Way and I have prepared a new Character profiles section. The Characters section is basically an extension of the Factions section as it consists of all the 'dragon rider' summaries from the Factions section, however there are also five new summaries dedicated to Azel, Craymen, Paet, Gash, and the Seventh Emperor. The Characters section can be expected to cover more individuals as time goes on.
Also in this update, The Sharp Edge and Nevey have contributed a new comic, that comes in three parts (see the Comics section to view each page). I must say that I found it rather amusing, as I'm sure other forum members probably will, especially considering the next thing for this update...
Lance Way has compiled the entire script from Panzer Dragoon Saga. All the dialogue and text from the game can be found in a simple RAR file, that can be downloaded from the Dialogue section. I'd hate to think how long it must have taken to tidy up all the 'encoded' text on the game discs, but I'm extremely grateful to Lance for this huge effort. Lundi has also tidied up the PDS FMV script, which now includes the names of the characters who spoke each piece of dialogue.
Lastly, Lance has sent me improved copies of his Panzer Dragoon World Map and his Panzer Dragoon Saga Illustrated Map, which I've added to the Maps section. I have also written a poem about the Tower of Uru and added a link to a Sega fansite to the Other Websites page. I think that covers everything for this update.

99. Another brief update.
Date: 31st of May, 2004
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke
Thanks to Lance Way again, I've replaced the two images of the Light Wing dragon in the area of the site where Chris has examined the unanswered questions surrounding the Light Wing Project with two far superior images of the said dragon, and I've also corrected a few errors here and there.
Lance has also obtained two images of Radgam's gun found inside the old hunter's home in the village of Zoah (in Panzer Dragoon Saga) for me, which I have since added to the bottom of my character summary of Keil/Kyle Fluge. How is Radgam's gun relevant to Kyle you ask? Well read the summary and find out. While I was implanting the images I cleaned up some of the text too. With the addition of those screenshots, the summary now feels complete.

98. TWOTA continues to grow.
Date: 26th of May, 2004
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke
Gorka Bolea has contributed a new piece of artwork that he calls Blue Shadow. I think you'll all agree that the name is more than appropriate for this particular piece once you've layed eyes on it.
A new website has decided to join our community in the form of another site dedicated to Panzer Dragoon Saga created by Justin Pasternak and Jeremy Prusak. Of course, I've added a link to the English Panzer Dragoon website links section for future reference.
We've also received a new poem from Felix Malinkevich, which I've added to the poems section. It's a short poem but captures the essence of the Panzer Dragoon series well.
A new theory written by Megatherium which assesses Lagi's growth patterns in Panzer Dragoon Orta and how assimilating other creatures influences that growth has found its way into the ever-expanding theories section. Hopefully the theories section won't stop growing any time soon.
Thanks to Lance Way who was kind enough to write up much of the information contained in Panzer Dragoon Orta, TWOTA now has a new Creatures and Empire section, which describe the various creatures and Imperial technologies found in the Panzer world. Fans are very greatful indeed for all the information the creators of Panzer Dragoon Orta included in the game, as it has given us a great deal of insight into the world in which it is set.
Lance has also compiled the entire Panzer Dragoon Orta script for fans to read at their convenience, and of course, we are eternally grateful.
I'm currently working on two things for the site at the moment, so expect more content from me soon.

97. Brief update.
Date: 13th of May, 2004
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke
The comics sub-section of the Fan Art section hasn't exactly been overflowing with new content, but thanks to Nevey and The Sharp Edge that is possibly set to change. Together they've managed to create a brief but humorous comic strip about something forum members might be somewhat familiar with. The comic strip itself can be viewed by clicking here.
Chris, aka Solo Wing Dragon has written another mystery, but this time about the huge gaping crater, or "hole", scarring the surface of the ground in Episode 3 of Panzer Dragoon Orta, also known as the Fallen Ground. This, of course, is one of the many mysteries found within the world of Panzer Dragoon that are meant to give fans pause for thought.
Finally, the webmaster of Panzer Dragoon Saga For Dummies has contributed two new MIDI tracks to the site. They are also available on his website, but can now be found here in the MIDIs section.

96. A backlog of content finally arrives.
Date: 4th of May, 2004
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke
I've been planning to add a whole host of new fan contributions to TWOTA for some time now before the flow of new content mounts into a looming heap that threatens to collapse under its own weight and crush anyone standing in its shadow. First, Felix Malinkevich has written a new poem called Loss of Truth, which can be found in our small yet ever-expanding poems section. I hope our readers have as much fun deciphering the meaning of this poem's words as I did.
Next, our good old friend Windrider has decided to update the first chapter of his fan fiction, titled The Ancients. Hopefully we'll be seeing more chapters from him in the future.
Chris has also written a new mystery about the ancient rebels who worked towards preventing the Towers from terraforming the planet with inhabitants still living on it (who in their right mind wouldn't?).
The last batch of fan contributions includes over a dozen separate pieces of new artwork drawn by He Who Is The Sky. The new artwork can be accessed via the third index page in the fan art section. I can't praise the artist's talents enough.
It's always great to welcome new Panzer Dragoon websites into the Panzer community at large. Panzer Dragoon Saga For Dummies, as you might deduce from the rather comical name, focuses on Panzer Dragoon Saga content-wise. I have no doubt its content will expand in the weeks to come. For future convenience, I've added a link leading to this latest website to join our community to the appropriate links section.

95. Finally... the third version of the Will of the Ancients is here!
Date: 14th of April, 2004
Updated By: Solo Wing Dragon
Uploaded by Geoffrey Duke on the 25th of April, 2004
Well here it is. Since last year (yes last year!) I've been working on this new design for the site. I won't bore you by rambling on about it here, but let's just say that after a lot of hard work I'm glad it's finally up and I hope that Panzer Dragoon fans will appreciate the effort put into it. If you'd like to know more, there's a small amount of information in the About section and there's always the forums.
With this update also comes a completely new section. Lance Way has put a great deal of work into analysing and enhancing the maps that can only be found in the unbelievably rare Japanese Panzer Dragoon guidebooks. The Maps section comes complete with the original maps, enhanced illustrated versions of the maps, and three detailed pages where Lance has explained how he has managed to find out where most of the Panzer Dragoon locations can be found.
Besides these two major updates, I've have also gone through and tweaked a number of features on the site. Here's what's changed:
- I've added a link to a web archive of Team Andromeda's old site.
- I've converted most of the 'downloads' on this site to .rar format to save on webspace.
- I've updated the About page, slightly, with a little more detail.
- I've added a 'Related Articles' section to each summary in the Factions section.
- I've added more 'Related Articles' to each mystery in the Mysteries section.
- I've added a second Theories index page (the previous one was getting too crowded).
- I've converted the MP3s from the Die Panzer Dragoon Chronik album to VBR format.
- I've added a newer version of the MEKAW emulator to the Programs section.
- I've removed the Webmaster section and exchanged it with a Staff section.
- I've added dates to all the pages in the Factions section.
- I've added screenshots of the Winamp skins to the Skins section.
- I've added a new music video created by Windrider called Wings of Gold.
Geoff has also revamped his Towers summary in the Factions section, so it now contains more details about the story.

94. Expect more content soon.
Date: 7th of April, 2004
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke
The site is undergoing maintenance at the moment, which has delayed the arrival of some recent fan contributions, but rest assured, we'll have everything online soon. For now, I've uploaded another theory I recently wrote about the dark drone riding Lagi's black dragon nemesis in Panzer Dragoon, also known as the Dark Dragon. I've also updated my old Dark Dragon theory with a few new ideas explaining why the gold dragon we see in Sestren's first memory orb could in fact be a dragon program like the Heresy dragon that later took the form of the Dark Dragon.
Finally, I've updated the Mysteries section with a short yet descriptive summary about the gun Orta wields in Panzer Dragoon Orta in which I haven't hesitated to share my feelings on why the absence of any story sequence, whether cinematic or in-game, accounting for its discovery is a mystery and not a mistake. I can't believe Smilebit wouldn't give a single indication as to where Orta found her gun if it wasn't supposed to be a mystery intended for fans to solve.

93. Even more fan contributions!
Date: 14th of March, 2004
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke
Gorka Bolea has contributed a beautiful piece of artwork to the Will of The Ancients titled Wings of freedom overflying Meccania in which Orta is flying into the burning horizon aboard her dragon. I'm sure our visitors will appreciate it.
Nevey is the next person to compose a music video using clips from Panzer Dragoon Saga, but in this case the song "Imaginary Light" by Evanesence is given the task of providing those moments with an atmosphere adhering to the definition of dramatic. You can download the new music video here.
To conclude this update, I have completely overhauled the page devoted to Lundi in the Factions section. Although most of the images aren't new, I've added an image of every single dragon crest Lundi can see in each of the five separate endings, and I've improved the quality of writing throughout the first half of the section itself. We've also replaced the first two images in the Mystery of Dragon Crests page in the Mysteries section. As always, credit for the artwork depicting an all too familiar dragon crest goes to The Art of Panzer Dragoon.

92. Plot hole or work of genius?
Date: 11th of March, 2004
Updated By: Solo Wing Dragon
Some people who have played Panzer Dragoon Orta have considered the miraculous appearance of Orta's gun as a major plot hole in the story itself. However, I've always thought that there must be some explanation as to how it came into Orta's possession. My Wedged Gun Theory, not only comes up with a possible solution to the gun problem, but also with a reasonable amount of evidence to back it up. Could this be true answer to the mystery of the gun? Only you can decide for yourself, but I think the evidence is quite compelling.
In other news, there's a new Panzer Dragoon site on the Internet (hosted here at panzerdragoon.net). D-Unit has created a site about Panzer Dragoon Orta that is geared towards fans who haven't played the Saturn trilogy. The site, Panzer Dragoon Legacy, is impressive, with summaries of locations and characters from Panzer Dragoon Orta, a FAQ section, as well as a section dealing with the history of the Panzer Dragoon world (very useful if you've only played Orta). If you're a Panzer Dragoon fan it's worth checking out The Will of the Ancients' other hosted sites such as Sky Rider: The Imperial Archives, as they contain a lot of information that can't be found here.

91. I sense an imminent invasion... of music videos!
Date: 9th of March, 2004
Updated By: Geoffrey Duke
It seems music videos are becoming popular, as The Sharp Edge has created his own by blending together various clips from the many cinematic sequences found in Panzer Dragoon Saga with the song "1000 Words" by Jade. It's very reminiscent of Rune Lai's earlier composition but different enough to call itself a separate piece of work. You can download the video itself here. The Panzer games traditionally contain copious amounts of FMV sequences, so perhaps the arrival of this second music video is a sign of things to come.
